I‘m Steven Lay - Lay Music Studios

I’m a music producer, singer/songwriter, musician, recording, mixing and mastering engineer. I also curate and mentor. Based on the outskirts of Orford UK, nestled along side Tunstall Forrest in my own small but perfectly formed studio. Lodge Studio. I also work in conjunction with The Storm Room Studios. Simon Farmer. Situated ten minutes down the track, where further production and recording facilities can be offered to tailor your project if required.

Who do I work with?

Mainly singer songwriters

As a singer/songwriter myself this is where my ear is most captivated, when I hear something I can really get my teeth into as a project.

Bands

Mainly mixing and mastering services. Small bands can be accommodated for recording purposes. This is dependent upon the amount of instrumentations. It’s a discussion to be had.

The aim here at Lay Music Studios is to carefully and objectively guide the artist and their vision through from what ever starting point the artist is at, to achieve the end goal they have in mind.
